Leslee Francis is the outreach director for Rock and Roll Academy. Since joining the local nonprofit in 2022, she has generated funds by writing grant proposals for various companies, government agencies, and private citizens. Her additional responsibilities include organizing fundraising events that feature live music and maintaining relationships with prominent business leaders in and around Aspen, Colorado. A philanthropist and music lover, Leslee Francis uses her position to engage with other charities and spread the word about the benefits of Rock and Roll Academy programming. She serves the organization by speaking to the local press and coordinating various board activities.
She also works as a guide for Aspen Fly-Fishing. She joined the company in 1990 when she was the region’s only female fly-fishing guide. She has an even longer history with the Aspen Ski Company, where she has worked as an instructor for over four decades. She earned a journalism degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
